Audition call for professional and emerging dancers
Blackout Arts Society is casting nine dance artists to perform live physical theatre in our new project, City of Tales.
Interpreters must be comfortable with contemporary dance methodologies, floor work, and character/animal work as part of an expressive physical performance to accompany pre-recorded Persian play.
Audition Date: Saturday, May 11, 2024
Audition Time: 2 PM — 6 PM (4-hour duration)
Location: Presentation House Theatre- Gallery (3rd Floor)

Audition Requirements:
Please note that the selection process requires being present and available for four hours of the audition. During this time, dancers will be rigorously assessed and selected.
For your comfort and to maintain energy levels, it's recommended that you bring a water bottle and yoga mat and wear layers of clothing that you can add or remove as needed.
Availability Requirements:
- July 15 to August 30, 2024, Part-time rehearsals, approximately 10 hours per week [negotiable scheduling].
- September 2024, Tech and performances( Exact dates TBD)
