About the show:

Tiresias is a powerful new performance (in Farsi) directed by Mehrafarin Beigi, inspired by the Women, Life, Freedom movement in Iran. Through the stories of six individuals—imprisoned, injured, exiled, or killed—the work explores resilience, identity, and the cost of revolution. A visceral reflection on truth, sacrifice, and freedom.

In the spirit of storytelling, we pause to honour the ancient narratives of this land. We stand upon the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

Just as we celebrate the diverse voices of immigrant and refugee artists, we recognize the First Peoples who have woven this place's first and enduring tales. Their stories are a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of community. As we come together from many corners of the world, may we always remember, respect, and learn from the stories that this land holds.
